Our Mission

The Verma Foundation is, at its core, a family-led foundation.
Our 5 family members:  Dr. Omesh, Shama, Natasha, Manisha and Akshay Verma created the foundation out of love in 2013 to help, inspire, empower and give hope to those who are suffering. Our most recent “Put a Cap On Cancer” project best exemplifies our mission to lift others.

In 2017, our co-founder Natasha Verma was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma at 23. We came together as a family and turned our negative into a positive. Through our “Put A Cap On Cancer” program, we create custom high-quality cap wigs at no cost for women and children fighting cancer and dealing with the emotional side effect of hair loss.

In the first year of the program’s launch, we provided 416 cap wigs to cancer patients across the United States and partnered with 204 hospitals to provide this invaluable support.

A woman’s hair is an incredible form of self-expression so hair loss can be especially tough for those fighting cancer. The Verma Foundation believes every patient going through cancer treatment deserves access to a quality wig in which she can feel beautiful and confident in. The gift of a cap wig can give patients hope, confidence and strength.

100% of proceeds go to the Verma Foundation to fulfill our mission of helping cancer patients.

Our mission is best embodied in our logo. The heart is created from the letter “V” for Verma at the base. It is literal in terms of the logo design but also figurative in that at the base of the Verma Foundation, we are built on love.
